Find a gift

This is a fairly simple side quest to do as it just involves going to a point in the desert and grabbing the quest item. With this you will have as part of your reward a Blade of type 40 and the program of bombs of the Pods (both will be described later).

However, the most complex part of this secondary mission is the fact that it usually coincides with a main mission that has you doing a similar task. However, you must be very attentive to your message box since you can start this mission and each of the steps to follow.

Lost girl

This is a mission you can find in Pascal’s Village which consists of escorting a machine called Little Sister and protecting it from continuous ambushes by enemy machines.

It is quite easy since the enemies do not represent a complex challenge. However, there are usually some errors with the game code that will prevent you from completing it.

Specifically we mean that both Little Sister and the enemies will stop moving, generating a kind of failure in the game.

This error can be easily solved by just attacking the ground or backing up a bit. These small acts should be more than enough to carry out this mission of NieR Automata.

Facts about the old world

This is a mission where you only have to go to certain points within the map. However, you will not have an entry reference.

Therefore, in HDGamers we have given ourselves the task of locating the objects of interest and pointing out their exact location on the map that we will present below.

Inheritance of the past

This is another mission where you will not have any reference point and where you must collect objects scattered throughout the vast desert.

To be able to do it, you will have to count the scanner program of the Pods and tons of patience.

After you get the first item, you will need to return to the NPC where you first took it. Then, it will send you to collect another 3 objects where you just have to repeat the same procedure.

Once you get them, you return to the character who will send you the third and last time to find an item. Although the locations are complicated since you will practically depend on the vision, with the maps that we will present below you could have more than a help.

However, on this last trip you will have to show off your combat skills since you will be ambushed. But, if you manage to get out alive, the mission will be complete when you deliver the last relic.

Secret unmarked side mission

This is one of the most complicated hidden mission chains you will come across. So your skills with weapons from NieR Automata should be quite high.
In this sense, we recommend that you have them at level 4 and, last but not least, you can defeat a boss level 99. Not bad, right?

Also, it is one of the longest side missions in the game so it is divided into two parts. Which, you will know below.

Part 1

For the first part of this mission, we recommend using the 9S. So make sure you have him.

• Find Emil .

Accessories

Emil Heads

Pods

In this order of ideas, if you are looking to get the most potential out of all the weapons from NieR Automata , you are going to need some extra accessories. In such a case, we could reveal that it is some pods or unique abilities that will make you a much more complete fighter.

Types of Pods

Therefore, understanding that you have an extensive universe of possibilities in terms of skills, we can find various types of pods . Being more specific, in NieR Automata you have 3 types of these curious accessories.

Pod A

The first type that we will highlight will be the Pod A not for being the most basic of all, but for being the only one you have from the beginning of your adventure. It is because of it that you can shoot bullets at your targets causing considerable damage, especially when you use grenades.

Pod B

Traps and equipment

The last set of Pods programs that we will highlight are what we can call rasters and team enhancers. Since, in short, that is the only thing they offer. However, they will be the skills that you will use the most throughout the game.

• Scanner
  • Function: Emits ultrasonic waves to scan the surroundings for hidden elements.
  • Location: You get it during the story on Route A .
• Repair
  • Function: Emits a temporary beam capable of healing combatants as long as they remain within their radius.
  • Location: Complete Side Mission “Classification Issue 3” during Route C.

Note: The mission of Classification problem 1 must be started on Route A , the second part of it on Route B . By completing them, you can start phase 3 on Route C .

• Slow
  • Function: This Pod allows you to create a field that distort time. This way you can create an effect that will slow down all the enemies that fall within its range.
  • Location: Complete the Data Analysis Freak 2 side quest available during Route B as 9S.

Note: You get started on that side quest after receiving a message in your inbox sometime after you complete Data Analysis Freak 1.

• Lure
  • Function: Create a user image with which you can attract the attention of enemies and shoot at them without risk.
  • Location: You have to be in history on Route C to be able to find it near the body of a member of YoRHa on the roof of the building where you first landed on Earth.
• Throws
  • Function: This program offers you the opportunity to produce a mass of energy that sprouts from the ground in the form of deadly spears.
  • Location: You can buy it at the beginning of the game. Specifically in the resistance field.
• Mirage
  • Function: This program allows you to analyze all enemies within a fixed radius. Which gives you the advantage to be able to make a series of fatal cuts to all those trapped inside.
  • Location: You can buy it at the beginning of the game. Specifically in the resistance field.
