Borderlands 2 console commands let you enable God mode, give yourself cash and Eridium, level up instantly, spawn weapons and much more. Unlike most games, in Borderlands 2 you first have to enable the console by editing a config file —we explain how below— and then you can type the commands. They only work on the PC version (Windows and Mac).

How to enable the console in Borderlands 2
On Windows
- Go to the game’s install folder and open
WillowGame\Config. - Open the file
WillowInput.iniwith Notepad. - Find the
[Engine.Console]section. - Add or edit the line
ConsoleKey=Tilde(or any key you prefer). - Save the file and close Notepad.
On Mac
- Locate
BaseInput.iniin/Borderlands2.app/Contents/GameData/Engine/Config/(right-click the app → Show Package Contents). - Find the
[Engine.Console]section and addConsoleKey=Tilde. - Save the file.
Then run the game as administrator, press the key you assigned to open the console, type the command and press Enter.

What is Borderlands 2?

i could not get DeveloperFreeLevels [numLevels] to work
i have tried using the commands but nothing is happening how do i fix this??
Interesting that when I enter the console command ‘DeveloperDemigod’ in game, close the console and proceed into battle, I am dead within 2 minutes.
My impression is that the console command doesn’t work…
Any suggestions as to why?
